Pond Blanket Weed Problems?
Blanket weed appears in late spring as thick strands of bright green weed threading its way through the water. It may be removed by winding it around a stick or broom handle and pulling it out.
Blanket weed is less of a problem where the water balance is good. Insects, aquatic plants and oxygenating plants help to achieve that balance. Where there is water movement that pushes oxygen into the pond that will also reduce the risk of weed. These products are designed to either kill Blanket weed or control it.
